At Eden Hearing, we specialize in ear care in East Sussex, offering both Micro-suction and irrigation ear wax removal techniques. Every individual we see has unique needs, which is why our team is fully trained in multiple methods of ear wax removal.
Micro-suction ear wax removal is our most commonly used procedure due to its cleanliness and efficiency. Many find it to be more comfortable than irrigation. The primary benefits of Micro-suction are its speed and the fact that there’s no need for olive oil or sodium bicarbonate ear drops in your ears for 2-4 days prior to your appointment. However, we do recommend using olive oil ear spray for at least one day before your visit to aid in the removal process. Typically, Micro-suction is quicker than irrigation ear wax removal and is the only safe option for those with known middle ear conditions or perforations.
Our prices are £45 for one ear and £65 for both.
While we primarily use Micro-suction, we still offer irrigation ear wax removal, which can be more effective in certain cases. Proper preparation is essential for successful wax removal; olive oil or sodium bicarbonate ear drops should be used for about 2-4 days beforehand. Please note that if you have any middle ear conditions or known perforations, irrigation will not be suitable.
Additionally, a home visit charge will apply based on your location and travel time.
